Description
The Aji Pineapple is yet another amazing Peruvian peppers, specie C. Baccatum. It is an amazing producer and easy to grow. The plant grows to about a foot tall, get very bushy and appreciate staking. Maturing to a bright yellow this pepper truly has a fruity pineapple flavor combined with medium heat- spicier than a jalapeno but not quite as hot as some of the other Aji peppers. This is a long season pepper variety making it tricky to ripen in our climate, if planted into a container it can be moved into a warmer spot if the peppers haven’t fully matured by fall.
